Our workshops are held at TWO locations.  Either at the Duck and Fishes Cafe in the Cooradigbee Homestead, Wee Jasper.

NB There is no internet or mobile phone coverage beyond Yass and Canberra . Make sure you load your maps/GPS etc before you leave..

To Cooradigbee Homestead from Canberra leave yourself at least 1.5 hours.

Drive to Coombs and make sure you are on John Gorton Drive

  1. Turn left into Opperman Ave
  2. Continue through the first roundabout to remain on Opperman Ave
  3. Turn right at the second roundabout onto Uriarra Rd
  4. Follow Uriarra Rd down until you cross over the river.
  5. Take the left hand fork onto Fairlight road and drive up the hill.
  6. When you hit the dirt road you are in NSW!
  7. Follow this dirt road for approx 2km and then you will come to a T intersection.
  8. Turn right onto Mountain Creek Road follow this road until you come to another T intersection
  9. Turn left onto Wee Jasper Rd and climb up the cuttings.
  10. Then head back down again all the way to the Wee Jasper bridge
  11. Cross the bridge and drive through the village.
  12. At the school you will come to another T intersection
  13. Turn right and follow the signs to Cooradigbee and the Duck and Fishes Cafe.
  14. The cafe is approximately 10 minutes from the Wee Jasper Bridge.

To Cooradigbee Homestead from Yass leave at least 60 minutes.

  1. Wee Jasper is approx 52 km from Yass.
  2. Travel South (Woolworths end of Comur St) along Comur Street
  3. Continue along Comur St and turn right into Grand Junction Road
  4. Follow this road through the roundabout and it will become Wee Jasper Rd
  5. Follow Wee Jasper Rd down to the Murrumbidgee (Taemas Bridge) and back up again before heading down all the way to the Wee Jasper bridge
  6. Cross the bridge and drive through the village.
  7. At the school you will come to another T intersection
  8. Turn right and follow the signs to Cooradigbee and the Duck and Fishes Cafe.
  9. The cafe is approximately 10 minutes from the Wee Jasper Bridge.map to Cooradigbee

To Athelington from Canberra leave yourself at least 1.25 hours.

  11. About 2 km before Athelington you will go over a small concrete bridge (Sugarloaf Creek) and go past the Doctors Flat Road. Continue along Wee Jasper Rd for a further 2 km approx.
  12. Athelington mailbox is on the right at the top of a hill opposite a gravel pit area. The front entrance has a steel shiny posts, a rail fence and 5 pine trees growing.
  13. Athelington property name is on the front entrance.

To ”Áthelington” from Yass leave at least 45 minutes.

  1. Athelington is approximately 48 km from Yass.
  2. Travel South (Woolworths end of Comur St) along Comur Street
